Richard B. Bonneville 1942 - 2014 Maryville, IL

Richard Briggs Bonneville, 71 of Maryville, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Richard was born on July 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Alfred Briggs and Grace Estelle (Burke) Bonneville. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA in 1960 then went on to graduate from the University of Notre Dame in 1964 and Harvard Business School in 1967.

He had positions with Hamilton Standard division of United Technologies, Strathmore Paper division of Hammermill Paper, Union Oil Company, Santa Fe Industries, Incorporated, Santa Fe Southern Pacific Corporation and retiring from Santa Fe Energy Resources, Incorporated in 1994. He was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville and will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the many special times shared together.

He is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Mary Ann (Pittman) Bonneville, whom he married on July 17, 1976 in Edwardsville; daughter, Ann Bonneville of Alexandria, VA; son John and (Jennifer) Bonneville of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Connor, Skylar and Avari; brother, Thomas and (Julie) Bonneville of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Janet Bonneville of Concord, CA, Ellen Bonneville of Brentwood, CA.

Friends may call on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 North Lange Ave., Maryville, IL. In celebration of his life services will be held following visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Joseph Havrilka officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Edwardsville.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road is serving the family.
