Mr. David Lavell Grant of Nevada, Texas passed away at his home on January 5, 2014 at the age of 65. Mr. Grant was born December 19, 1948 in Monroe, Louisiana to James and Etta Johns Grant. Mr. Grant served his country as a dedicated United States Marine. On August 15, 1969 he married his beloved wife Peggy in Dallas, Texas. He Is survived by his wife Peggy Grant of Nevada, Texas, daughter Tina Hammond and husband Tim of Wylie, sons Roy Phillips and wife Kathy and John Grant both of Nevada. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and sister Pat Little and husband Roger of Combine, Texas. Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 Wednesday at the Hurst Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Lavon. at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Clint Bratcher officiating. graveside services will follow at the Verona Cemetery
