The son of John and Elizabeth Wiseman, Moore County, Tennesee. Martin Wiseman was enlisted in Company G, of the 41st Regiment Tennessee Infantry on November 6, 1862, at Marble Hill, Tennessee, by Lieutenant Taylor. According to the war records, Martin was present on the company rolls from November 6, 1862, through March of 1864.
