Services for Mrs. Jessie Brooks, 62, of Holton, were held Friday at the Mercer funeral home in Holton, with burial in the cemetery at Denison. She died Tuesday at Longmont Colo., where she had gone for a short visit.
She was born December 9, 1895, at Holton, and was a lifelong resident there. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, Pierce Brooks of the home; two sons, Byron Brooks of Holton and Norman Brooks of Pleasanton; a brother, Lawrence Scott of Thailand; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Potter of Detroit, Mich.; and six grandchildren.
