FLORENCE RHETA (MADAN) SHARPE

Born: Fri., Nov. 13, 1931
Died: Thu., Jan. 9, 2014

Florence (MaDan) Sharpe ,82 of Fargo, Oklahoma, wife of Arthur F. Sharpe (deceased) passed away unexpectedly early Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her loving brother Ernest MaDan and sister Louise Arnold.

She was born November 13th, 1931 in Easton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Charles E. MaDan and Bertha (Morse) MaDan. She is survived by her two sisters Emily McFarland of Florida and Estelle Dees of Massachusetts.

She will be loved and missed by her six children: Kenneth A. Sharpe of WA, Kathleen L. Wright of OK, Joanne Sheehan of MA, Kim L. Brodeur of RI, Thomas M. Sharpe of NC, and Lori A. Berger of MA.

She was blessed by having a large family of 14 wonderful grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her dear friend Dick Landry of Fargo, Oklahoma and many special friends.

Flonnie loved the outdoors, especially fishing trips and travel. She liked to play games and enjoyed making music and playing the guitar country style and shared this gift with her children. She loved animals and enjoyed the company of her dog Pudgy and the late LB. She worked hard all of her life and was eager to help her family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 1704 Oak Ave., 73802.

Memorial services were held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bible Baptist Church in Woodward, Oklahoma with Pastor Jesse Johnson officiating. Thomas Sharpe was the soloist for the service. Songs included "How Great Thou Art," "Without The Cross," and "Sheltered In The Arms." The family entrusted the Mason Funeral Service with their arrangements.
