Archie Winston Stringer age 91 of Thomasville, AL died January 10, 2014 at Thomasville Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 11, 1922 in Finley Crossing, AL. Mr. Stringer was a retired mail carrier and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He was US Army veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #112 and Blue Rock Hunting Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jesse Lee Dunn Stringer of Thomasville, AL; two daughters, Rose Bretling of Gallion, AL; June Gray Tucker of Demopolis, AL; eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alice Jeannine Barron, son, John Bragg Tucker, Jr., grandson, Samuel Breitling.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Don Newton officiating. Burial will be at Finley Crossing Cemetery in Thomasville, AL.
