Nettie Ann Mowry, the oldest daughter of Josiah & Susannah (Beegle) Mowry was born at Mowry's Mill (now Weyant) on 19 May 1867. She was united in marriage on Christmas Day 25 Dec 1890 with Jeremiah "Jerry" Burket, who was born 17 Jan 1863. They started housekeeping on a farm in the vicinity pf Pine Grove near Cessna. In 1906 they moved to Catfish, Blair County, where he followed farming and huckstering during the greater part of his life. There were no children to this union. Jerry died in Catfish on 28 Apr 1917. After this, Nettie moved to McKee and was a seamstress.

Later in life, Nettie remarried on 6 Aug 1921 with George M. Burket, who was born 12 Apr 1862. They established their home at Lakemont between Altoona and Hollidaysburg. George was a farmer for the greater part and later in years was on a construction work. While at work he was thrown from a truck while rounding a curve near the Mercy Hospital in Altoona on October 10, 1928. Nettie and Jerry are interred in Mock Church Cemetery near Imler and Georgeis buried in the Lutheran Church cemetery at St. Clairsville, Pennsylvania.
