She died Saturday March 25, 1989 at Schumpert Medical Center. A native of Ivanhoe, Texas, she had been a resident of Shreveport for 62 years.She was officiated with the Church of Christ.
Survived by her husband, Ernest D. Garrett of Shreveport; six daughters and sons-in-laws, Dorothy and John Bates of Shreveport, Marie and Guy Powell of Kodiak, Alaska, Gwendolyn and Carroll Michaud of Sugarland, Texas, Shirley and Rodney Cramer of San Bonita, Texas, Margaret and Don Gordon of Littleton, Colorado, Jane and Bill Adrian of Malibu, California; six sisters, Bonnie Hedge of Dallas, Texas, Mildred Morris of Chillicothe, Texas, Marian White of Wichita Falls, Texas, Geneva Haliburton of Wichita Falls, Billie Burrell of Chillicothe, Lillie Burrell of Wichita Falls; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
