Thomas is buried in the Lower Pickensville Cemetery, at St. John Baptist Church. He is buried there with his wife Louisa "Lula" M. Gray Foster and two of their children; son John Leroy Foster and daughter Johnnie Nora Foster. However; in 2013, John Leroy was the only Foster, who had a marked grave site.
Per Lynda Avey; in the 1970's, her Great-Aunt Mildred Ivie Seymer, an elder lifetime resident of Pickensville, told her that both Thomas Foster and his wife Lula Gray Foster are buried in unmarked graves at the Pickensville Lower Cemetery.
