Ada "Fern" Bishop, 95, Coffeyville formally of Independence, Kansas died Monday at the Windsor Place, Coffeyville, Kansas.
A Graveside Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2014 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, Kansas, Chaplain Mike Graham of the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of Coffeyville officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel Independence.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of Coffeyville and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence.
Fern was born July 24, 1918 in Centraila, Oklahoma the daughter of William B. and Stella (McCllen) Woodall. She grew up in Centraila and attended the Wymer School System.
On April 1939 Fern was united in marriage to Dallas Bishop, and the couple made their home in Independence, Dallas preceded her in death.
She is survived by several nieces and newphews.
