Della Ann Schopfer, daughter of Jacob and Marie Arn, was born in Lyss, Switzerland, April 15, 1874. She died Sunday, Jan. 23, at Bellevue, Nebr., at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 8 days. At the age of seven years, she came to America with her parents and settled in Amazonia, later moving near Nodaway. At the age of 14 years, she was confirmed in the St John's church at Amazonia.
She was married to Charles Schopfer in 1895, who preceded her in death on June 5, 1943. To this union, three children were born, all of whom survive, Mark Schopfer of Savannah, Mrs. Sylvia Gray of Bellevue, Nebr., and Carl Schopfer of Savannah. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Mann of Savannah and Miss Rose Arn of Thedford, Nebr.; one brother, Arnold Arn of Savannah; and a half-brother, Emil Arn of Kincaid, Kan. There are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
