Lebanon — Marlene May Stoodley, 66, died Wednesday at home after a long battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Lebanon on Feb. 5, 1937, a daughter of Ralph and Rose (Keezer) Knight. She was a lifelong resident of Lebanon, where she went to school. She was married to Kenneth Stoodley on June 6, 1953, and they made their home in Lebanon. She and her husband owned and operated Ken's Country Store in Wilder for 19 years. She retired in 1999.

She was active in an area cancer support group, was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon and enjoyed her flower beds, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of Lebanon; three children, Stephen K. Stoodley of Lyme, Brenda Lyman of White River Junction and Michael Stoodley of Wilder; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m at First Baptist Church in Lebanon, with the Rev. Dale Edwards, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Hanover.
