Casdorph, Shirley Anne, 78, of Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully on January 8, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. She will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Shirley had a passion for family history and teaching others. She had a deep abiding faith and was a decent, kind soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by two of her sons, Oscar "Butch" Casdorph and John Casdorph. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Oscar Casdorph, her son, Charles Casdorph, daughters Sally Kazilek and Teresa Fontana. Shirley is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Fri, Jan 17 from 6-8 pm at the LDS Mesa West Stake Center at 2300 W Javelina Ave, Mesa, AZ. An additional visitation will be held Sat Jan 18 at 9 am prior to the 10 am service to be held at the LDS Mesa West Stake Center. Burial will be held immediately following at Green Acres Cemetery at 401 N Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. Angels Cremation and Burial is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers and because of the loving care provided by her hospice caregivers, the family asks donations be made in Shirley's name to Hospice of the Valley . http://www.hov.org/donate
