Nina, age 92, passed away at 2:22 p.m., on Tuesday, at Woodbridge Health Campus.

She was the daughter of John Quincy and Louie Alice (Brower) Lambert.

On December 22, 1940, in Logansport, she was married to Max L. Patton, who preceded her in death on March 8, 2004.

She searched records in the court house for Hirschauer Abstract Company,from where she retired in 1996, after 56 years of employment.

She was a 1940 graduate of Logansport High School. Nina was a member of the Hoover Community Church, where she played the piano for 45 years, even though she had never taken piano lessons, only violin lessons. She enjoyed reading and visiting the library.

Nina and Max built their own home in the country in 1950. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was proud to have great-great grandchildren.

Surviving are a son-in-law, Eric Shoemaker, grandchildren, John C. (Alyson) Shoemaker and Scott A. (Bonnie) Shoemaker; great-grandchildren Matthew, Stormy, and Miranda Shoemaker; and two great-great grandchildren, all of Logansport; and a close nephew, Jerry Lambert of Kokomo.

Also preceding her in death are a daughter, Carol Shoemaker; and a brother, Palmer "Paul" Lambert.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 2, 2014, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 3, 2014, at the funeral home, with Rev. Bruce Russell officiating.

Private burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
