BLOOMFIELD -- Willis Eugene "Newt" Aeschliman, 80, of Bloomfield, died on Jan. 8, 1999, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.
He was born May 2, 1918, in Davis County to Christian and Clara Etta Weede Aeschliman. He married LaVeta Jarvis on Nov. 4, 1939, in Lancaster, Mo.
He lived in Davis County all his life. He was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Roger of Ottumwa, Davy of Bloomfield and Denny of Singapore; a daughter, Phyllis Aeschliman of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, ans a sister Francis Snyder of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Verta Aeschliman, Carrie Bennett and Florence Battin, and two brothers, Carl and Wendell Aeschliman.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, the Rev. Ron Abbas officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. today with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.
Casketbearers will be Bruce Knapp, Doug Schock, George Leer, Dave Doerscher, Dale Taylor, Don Whisler, Ted Augspurger and Orian Snyder.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Ottumwa Regional Health Center Dialysys Care Unit.
