Mrs. Ashley graduated from Berkley High School in 1928 as valedictorian and retired from the Berkley Library after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served as a volunteer at William Beaumont Hospital until her mid-80s. Prior to her death she resided at her daughter's home in Gladwin. She was blessed with many friendships in her lifetime. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished.
She was predeceased by brothers, George and Warren Mumper.
Surviving are her children, Larry K. (Sarah) Ashley, and Sharon (Jerry) Tillman; grandchildren, Curtis (Colleen) Martin, Shannon (Jay) Schrade, Mark (Adeline) Ashley, Gregory (Kimberly) Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren.
