She was born on March 5, 1922, in rural Lacon to the late Frank and Minnie Blackburn Holler. She married Lyle Schlosser in Palmyra, Mo., in October of 1942. He passed on Nov. 3, 1988.
She and Lyle farmed in rural Lacon, with Virginia filling the role as Lyle's farmhand. She also assisted older folks in their homes for many years.
She was a member of Marshall-Putnam Home Extension, Immaculate Conception Altar and Rosary Society, Roving Mallards Camping Club and the Farm Bureau.
Virginia is survived by two daughters, Patsy (Jon) Dosher of Havana, Ill., and Cindy (Emiel) Guede of Chillicothe; sisters, Shirley Hattan of Lacon, Laverne (Art) Head of Lacon, Roberta (Delmar) Hamann of Sandy, Ore., and Beverly (Robert) Meismer of Grovertown, Ga.; and brothers, Robert Holler of Henry and Wilbur Holler of Lacon. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
