A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and a resident of Denham Springs, she died at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 83 and a native of Newton County, Texas. Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 10 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Keith Rowzee. Interment in GreenoaksMemorial Park. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bobbie Spillman, Denham Springs, Rita and Gilbert Spillman, Springfield, and Patricia and Ray Newman, Joaquin, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Pat Hare, Walker, and Allen and Marie Hare, Denham Springs; two stepdaughters, Sue Hernandez, Baker, and Shirley Brooks, Florida; two sisters, Gracie Lee Odgan, Tioga, and Dorothy Mae Raybourn, Shreveport; two brothers, Pete Fountain, Denham Springs, and Fred Harvey Fountain, Alexandria;illman, Timmy Lynn Newman, P.J. Spillman, Ivy Michael Spillman and Ivy Spillman. She was a member of Lockhart Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
