In 1994, convict Thomas Young confessed to the murders and named Eugene Livingston, Asad Muhammad, and Victor McClain as his accomplices. Young was found guilty of murder and sentenced to three life terms in prison. Livingston was found guilty of robbery and conspiracy, but was acquitted of murder; he spent a few months in prison. Muhammad's and McClain's cases were dropped due to lack of evidence.
