Geraldine was a homemaker and attended Cranberry Baptist Church as well as Halo Community Church. She was a wonderful seamstress, having made many wedding dresses, prom dresses and even the majorette uniforms for the band at Cowen High School. She loved going to church, cooking, baking, canning and making apple butter. Geraldine was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.
Surviving are her children, Paul Phillip (Lee) Giles of Las Vegas, Steve (Vanessa) Giles of Beckley, Shirley (Bill) Brown of Beckley and Patsy (John) Henline of Beckley, siblings, Martha Jean Lee, Linda Woods, Richard Green, Freddie Green, Dewayne Green and Margaret Green, grandsons, Jason Brown, Phillip Giles, John Henline, James Giles, Tony Giles, Michael Giles, Michael Butcher, granddaughters, Debbie Giles, Veronica Westfall, Sandra Henline, Amy Diehl and Chrissy Andrews, great-grandchildren, Reanna Giles, Monique Giles, Andrew Giles, Matthew Henline, Brenna Henline, Cassandra Henline, Caysee Jo Diehl, Logan Westfall, Wyatt Andrews, Saira Diehl, Ally Diehl, Kendyl Giles, Emmalyn Giles, Owen Giles, Austin Giles, Parker Giles, Ian Giles, Nolan Giles, Dylan Giles, Taylor Andrews, Katrina Butcher and Anna Butcher and many other friends and church family.
In addition to her parents, husband, Homer O’Neal “Arky” Giles, son, James E. Giles, daughter, Sandra Giles, siblings Connie Tonkin, Eugene Green, and Billy Green, and great-granddaughter, Heather Westfall preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 6, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Keith Williams and Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin. Friends make call from 12:00 until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
