MRS. JESSE GOODALL LAID TO REST HERE SUNDAY
Mrs. Jesse Goodall passed away Thursday, July 12, at the home of her son, Jennings Stinehauser, at Freeland, Michigan. Mrs. Goodall will be better known to Cass City people as Mrs. Michael Stinehauser.
Louisa Muntz was born in the year 1860 about two miles north of Cass City. Mr. Stinehauser passed away 23 years ago. Five years later she was united in marriage to Jesse Goodall.
Mrs. Goodall was taken to the home of her son at Freeland two months ago when she became ill and has since that time gradually grown weaker. The body was brought to Cass City
Sunday and short services were held Westminster Abbey at the grave. A minister from Freeland officiated. Beside her husband, Jesse Goodall, of Hale, Michigan, she leaves six children Mrs. Tillie Townsend, Mrs. Kate Eastman, Mrs. Emma Shires, and Frank Stinehauser, all of Detroit; Fred Stinehauser of Cleveland, and Jennings Stinehauser of Freeland, and one sister, Mrs. Tillie Bills of Bad Axe. Two daughters preceded the mother in death, Mrs. Maude Eastman and Mrs. Lillie Shepherd.
Those from a distance who attended the service at Cass City were the husband and all of the children and Mrs. Jennie Beach of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Tillie Bills, Mr. and Mrs. John Muntz and daughter, Helen, of Bad Axe; Mr. and Mrs. William Seeger and son, and Fred Shires of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. John Shires of Atwater.
