Charles S. Vandeveer, son of William and Phoebe Vandeveer, was born in Waverly, Iowa July 18, 1858 and departed this life May 14, 1928, at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 25 days. He came to Illoins at the age of 12 years and settled at Greenbush where her spent the remainder of his life.
He was united in marriage to Arminda B. Snider, daughter of Peter and Diana Snider on September 13, 1891. To this union four children were born; three girls, Verna, Cora and Florence at home. A son, Dale lives near. He is also survived by a grandson and one brother, Calvin Vandeveer of Humboldt, Neb., and a number of nieces and nephews, besides a host of relatives and friends.
