Robert J. Anderson 1942 - 2014 Ware

Robert J. Anderson, 71, passed away on January 15th at his home.

He leaves his wife of 49 years Sandi (Arsenault) Anderson, his son James R. of Ware, his daughters, Marsha Yorns and her husband Mark of Longmeadow, and Cheryl Anderson of Ware, a sister Judy Renaud of Ware, a brother Barry Anderson in Utah. He also leaves his grandchildren Chris Anderson and his fiancee Ashley, Ryan Anderson, Josh Allen, and Emily, Ainsley and Elisabeth Yorns, a great grandchild Aiden and his dog Spooky.

He was also predeceased by his sister Jane Anderson.

He was born in Ware son of Francis and Arline (Parson) Anderson and lived here most of his life. A local service station operator for over 45 years, he owned Bob's Sunoco on East Street and the Mobile Station on West Street. Bob was a US Navy veteran serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was an original member of Club 12, was a member of the Ware VFW Post and the Statewide Towing Association. He was an avid Yankee and Jets fan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 21st at 10 am at the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 pm.
