Maudie was married three times, her first husband was Tilman Leon Withers, They had two children Charles Albert Withers and Pauline Virginia Withers. Her second husband was Henry Homer a 1/2 Creek Indian. They had two children, John Henry Homer and Wanda Jo Homer. Her third husband was Jacob Andrew Lindsey. They had two children Jacob Andrew Lindsey Jr. and Maudie Jane Lindsey. In the 1950s she was living with a Herman Leroy Evans. They were not married but were living together at the time of her death. That is the reason she is buried under the name Maudie Jane Evans. She is buried next to John Calvin Evans whose grave is unmarked, he was the father of Herman Evans. When I first visited her gravesite she did not have a grave marker. I contacted the monuments folks and arranged the one you now see.
