John was of the Baptist faith and loved singing in church. He loved to watch wrestling, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Georgia Bulldogs. He had a great personality and had an awesome smile. He never met a stranger and he made lasting impressions on everyone who met him. He loved children and making them happy.
John was a cook and a previous waiter at the local Waffle House in Cartersville.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Leona Adams: an aunt, Sue Adams, an uncle, Pete Adams; and a grandfather, Willie Adams.
Survivors include his fiance', Christie Howard of Cartersville; his mother, Ross Ann Adams Barreras of Cartersville; Sisters: Leona Hardin of Cartersville, Deb Smith of Carrollton, Georgia; Zulima Bryan of Cartersville; and Annie Byers of Orange City, Florida. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of John's Life was held Saturday, January 18,2014 at Cassville Baptist Church. Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled the cremation.
