Mrs. Annie Ben Beale Kornegay of 12 St. Augustine Square, died at her residence on Monday morning, Jan. 5, 2004.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the West Market St. United Methodist Church, where she was a very active member, and the family will visit with friends following the service in the church gathering room.
Annie Ben is survived by her husband, Horace R. Kornegay; son H. Rob Kornegay Jr. and wife Rhonda of Winston-Salem; daughters, Mrs. Kathy Cozort and husband Jack of Raleigh, Mrs. Martha Howard and husband David of Greensboro; grandchildren, Horace Robinson Kornegay III, Rachel Reade Kornegay, Rebecca Beale Kornegay, Jackson Lowell Cozort, Katie Kornegay Cozort, David Ross Howard Jr., Julianne Kornegay Howard, and Benjamin Beale Howard; and sister Mrs. Nancy Clapp of Greensboro.
