Edward Otto Draves, 59, of 4991 North Lewis Road, Coleman died at the Gratiot County Community Hospital Monday, May 5, 1975. He was born August 20, 1915 in Homer Township and was a life long resident of Midland County.
Mr. Draves was married to Mrs. Clara L. Johns Monroe December 30,1936 and she survives. He was an employee of the Dow Chemical Company.
Besides his widow, Mr. Draves leaves two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Loretta) Rydman and Mrs. Albert (Ila Mae) Methner, both of Coleman; two step-sons, Harold Monroe of St. Louis and Walter Monroe of Thailand; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mason (Dorothy) Weishuhn of Ohio and Mrs. Shirley Coyle of Clarkston; nine brothers, Earl of Midland, Lorn of Merrill, Paul, Clyde, James and Harley all of Sanford, Floyd of Rhodes and Robert and Louis, both of Glendale, Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Viola) Staley of Prudenville, Mrs. Delbert (Florence) Morgan of Marion and Mrs. Pearl (Betty) Dice of Midland; four grand children; 12 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted from the Miner-Bradley Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8, with Elder Paul Gross of Coleman officiating. Burial in Midland Memorial Gardens.
