Last Rites For Mrs. Wadsworth Held Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Maude Wadsworth were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. David Ash officiating.

Mrs. David Ash sang two hymns "Abide With Me" and "Stll, Still With Thee." She was accompanied by Mrs. Norman Dobson at the organ.

The casket bearers were John Bolger, Robert Peterson, Dean Robertson, James Robertson, Gordon Wadsworth and Howard Wadsworth.

Burial was made in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Charles H. Wadsworth, 86, mother of Gordon Wadsworth, 824 Eighth street, died at 7 p. m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 in Madison, Wis. where she had lived for several years with her daughter, Mrs. John Bolger.

Mrs. Wadsworth was born at Carthage, Mo., April 24, 1871, but lived most of her life in Chicago, Ill. She was united in marriage to Charles Wadsworth of Chicago in 1900. To this union four children were born: Ralph L. of Berea, Ky.; Gordon H. of Nevada, Iowa; A. Howard of LaPorte, Tex., and Florence Bolger of Madison, Wis.

Until Mrs. Wadsworth's long illness she had been an active member of the Gresham Methodist church of Chicago, having taught a Sunday school class for many years, and served as president of the Foreign Missionary Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1940. She is survived by her four children, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild, Laura Ann Robertson, daughter of Dean and Pauline Robertson of Nevada, and also by two sisters, Alberta Beardsley of Chicago, and Alice Lewis of Ventura, Calif., and a brothers Arthur Lewis of Sacramento, Calif.
