A memorial service celebrating the life of Heather Nicole McPherson age 17 of Enid will be at 4 pm Monday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
The family will have a scattering of her remains at a later date.
Heather was born in Midland, TX on February 21, 1993 to B and C McPherson and passed away in Oklahoma City July 22, 2010. She attended schools in Lafayette, LA, Sugar Land, TX and Enid, OK.
Heather was an honor student who recently completed her junior year at Enid High School. She was under consideration for the National Merit Semi-Finalist Program.
Heather loved her friends, music, books, art, beaches and wide outdoors of the Southwest. She worked at Jumbo Food. She was a talented artist, photographer, writer, cellist, grammar Nazi and Sharpie-tattooist.
Heather is survived by her parents; 1 sister; grandparents; a great grandmother; and a host of other family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Heather McPherson Scholarship Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund.
