Eugene Franklin 'Gene' Fazenbaker, age 78, of Continental III, Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home.
Born at Melcroft, Pa., on November 16, 1935, he was a son of the now late Otho Fazenbaker and Mable Marie (Hawkins) Fazenbaker.
'Gene' was retired and was a Disabled Veteran of the United States Military.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (J o h n s t o n) Fazenbaker; daughter, Sharon Fazenbaker; and the following sisters and brothers, Gwendolyn Martin, Edith Martin, W a l t e r Fazenbaker, Dolly Bittinger, P e a r l B r o w n, E d w a r d Fazenbaker, L i n d a Stillwagon and Buddy Fazenbaker.
He is survived by five sons: Larry, Marty, Timothy, Gregory and Christopher; and four daughters: Cheryl Bryte, Lana Lytle, Lori Sapic and Tracie Heeter; 19 grandchildren including a special granddaughter Amber Dawn Cooper and husband Shawn and their son Benjamin and special grandson, Chad Jacob Evans; 17 great grand children; and one sister, Pauline Minerd.
The family will receive friends in the JOHN F. B R O W N F I E L D FUNERAL HOME OF SMITHFIELD, PA today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, December 30, 2013 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Reverend Kenny Rockwell officiating.
Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township, Pa.
