Franklin News-Herald, Thursday, Apr 21 1977:

David B. Osborne, 59, of Stoneboro RD 2, died unexpectedly at 3 pm Wednesday.. Born Jan. 19, 1918, in Worth Township, Mercer County, he was a son of Alva J. and Florence Powell Osborne.


He suffered a heart attack while plowing at the Norman Lackey farm in Perry Township, Mercer County. He lived all his life in Worth and Sandy Lake Townships, Mercer County. He retired from Polk Center, and had worked as a farmer most of his life.


On May 12, 1973, he married Mildred Lesnett, who survives, with his mother of Jackson Center RD 1; a step-son, Donald F. Atwell of Stoneboro RD 2; a sister, Mrs. Rose Wilson of Cochranton RD 3; four brothers, Richard P. Osborne of Stoneboro RD 1, Al J. Osborne of Oil City, James E. Osborne of Meadville, and Donald A. Osborne of Meadville. Deceased are his father, and a sister, Isabelle Rodgers.


Services will be at 2 pm Saturday in Edward P. McMullen Funeral Home, Sandy Lake, with Rev. David Robertson of Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church officiating.
