Oscar Knox was a true pioneer, a Farmer, Rancher, Grocery Store Owner, and Fruit Farmer. A handsome & big man for that time period, standing over 6' 2" tall.
Oscar married Julia Ann Ament, daughter of John Lawson Ament & Sarah Ann Hodge, 25 Dec. 1867, in Princeton, Bureau, Illinois.
Together they had two daughters, Winnifred Clay Knox (Grout) & Minna, who died as a child.
By 1880 Oscar & Family were living in Pottawattamie, Iowa. Yearning the west, by 1885 they were living in Seattle Washington. Oscar was a proprieter of a Grocery Store in Seattle.
Shortly after thier daughter Winnifred married, Oscar & Julia Ann moved to Wenatchee, Chelan, Washington, where Oscar had a Fruit Farm.
A few years after his wife died, Oscar moved back to Seattle and lived with Daughter Winnifred Clay & son inlaw Myron Marcus Grout.
Oscar Knox died 5 Feb. 1927, there was a viewing 7 Feb. at Bonney & Watson Funeral Palor, afterward to be cremated.
