Yates City-Ruby E. Bartlow, 89, of Galesburg, formerly of Yates City, passed away on
January 20, 2014 at the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg.
She was born on April 1, 1924 in Royalton, IL to Everett and Lizzie Adkins Price. They preceded her in death.
She married Ernest Bartlow on January 28, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, IL. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1985.
Surviving are three children, Sally (Wayne) Webster of Fairview, Angela (Randy) Hayes of Howe, TX, Nancy (Bob) Nunn of Sherman Texas, one brother Steven Price of St. Louis MO, one sister Lilly Painter of Valier, IL four grandchildren Derick and Jeff Nunn, Mathew and Wesley Hayes and five Great Grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death is one brother, two sisters and one granddaughter Kris Kaenter.
Ruby was a cook for the Yates City School District and a Janitor for the Bank of Yates City. She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle in Galesburg.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2014 at 11 am, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.
There will be no visitation. A private burial will take place at the Yates City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit at the Magnolia Rehab Center.
