Lydia Mary (Schneider) Billinger Hunt, 95, of Salina, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014. Lydia was born June 29, 1918, in Trego County to Adam and Maria Michaels Schneider. She married Bernard P. Billinger on Nov. 25, 1941, and he passed away May 12, 1998. Lydia married Ralph Hunt on Oct. 10, 1998, and he passed away May 6, 2008.

Survivors include two daughters, Bernadette Billinger, of Centennial, Colo., and Bernadine (Dennis) Lyon, of Salina; two grandsons, Matthew Lee (Melynda) Lyon, of Gardner, and Michael Todd (Laramie Harmon) Lyon, of Hill City; great-grandson, Maxwell Elway Lyon, of Gardner; and great-granddaughter, Scarlett Harmon, of Hill City. She is also survived by Ralph's daughter, Peggy (Raymond) Mai, and several grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Lydia was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, William, Emanuel, Alex, John, Benhardt, O'Linda Nemechek, Rosie Caldwell, Michael and Theodore.

Lydia loved to dance, make quilts and make cinnamon rolls and pies, as these were her specialities. Lydia believed education was important, and that is why she went back to school and received her GED in 1971. She worked at Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital for more than 25 years.

Graveside service Jan. 16, at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Collyer.
