Carol was born on December 26, 1928 to Vernon and Opha (Miles) Dorrel.
She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a graduate of Springfield High School. She lived with her husband on a farm in the Whitcomb Area where she enjoyed driving the tractor during hay baling and rasing cattle. She also was a 34 year employee of FCN Bank retiring on December 31, 1995 as an Assistant Loan Officer.
Surviving family includes her husband of 62 years - Ambrose W. Singer Daughter - Becky ( Brian ) Suding of Brookville Sons - Michael ( Beverly ) Singer of Brookville Mark ( Diane ) Singer of Brookville 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Step-Great Grandchildren Sister - Evelyn ( Rich ) Sauerland of New Paris, OH Brother - Raymond ( Jean ) Dorrel of Brookville Sister-in-laws - Lucy Dorrel and Jean Kuehn both of Brookville.
Visitation on Sunday, March 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home 929 Main St Brookville and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, March 26. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 26 and starting at 11:00 AM with burial following in St. Michael Cemetery - Brookville, IN.
