Graveside Services for Mr. Glenn "Redeye" Batey, age 77, of Flint, are schedule for 2 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the Harris Chapel Cemetery near Lindale with Bro. Mike Moore officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mr. Batey died on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in the Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. He was born on July 19, 1936 in Lindale to J.C. Sr,. and Eunice Gertrude Alvey Batey and lived the majority of his life in the Lindale, Tyler and Smith County area. Mr. Batey was employed by Tyler Pipe Industries and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C.& Eunice Batey, Son, Kenneth Batey, Brother, Doyle Batey, and Sisters, Gladys Starnes, and Addie McGrady.

Survived by;

Wife: Mrs. Sue Batey of Flint

Son: Donald Batey of Flint

Daughter: Pam Ruehrmund of Whitehouse

Brothers: J.C. Batey Jr, of Jacksboro, and Ronald Dean Batey of Grand Saline

Sister: Betty Mullican of Arp

5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers: Mark McCoy, Darren Wood, Billy Henderson, Brandon Batey, Chad Batey, and Damon Batey

Family will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM on Friday evening at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale
