He was a son of Onésime and Plasidie Leger Tessier.

He married Simone A. Delisle of Bourget, Ontario on Aug. 28, 1937 at Sacred Heart Church, Bourget. She died on March 25, 1994.

He was a construction foreman on the St. Lawrence Seaway Project, Massena, and with Avon and Fowler Trucking Co. and Profella and Whalen Construction Co.

Surviving was a son, Paul, Asheboro, NC; three daughters, Mrs. Ward (Jacqueline) Shorette , Brasher Falls; Mrs. Warren (Shirley) Dean, Norwood, and Mrs. Peter (Irene) Drake, Fort Monroe, VA; 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren

Two brothers, Roger and Aurèle, and five sisters, Yvonne, Rose, Irene, Agnes and Aurore, died before him.
