Lydia Bernthal, 89, widow of Dr. Adolph Bernthal, died May 29 in New Port Richey, Fla. Lydia Honold was born Sept. 22, 1890 near Millington. She married Dr. Bernthal in 1912 at St. Lorenz Church, Frankenmuth.
They also lived in Sebewaing, Bad Axe and Richville. Dr. Bernthal died in 1972. Mrs Bernthal was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Richville. Surving are a daughter, Mrs William W. (Verna) Claiborne, Port Richey, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs Oswald (Meta) List, Saginaw, Mrs Archie (Ida) Morley, Frankenmuth; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Monday with entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum.
