Orval Alvin Elliott Sr. "Bally" Graveside services for Orval "Bally" Elliott Sr. will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Hopland Rancheria Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 5 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday at the mortuary. Born April 26, 1931 in Hopland, Bally was a lifelong resident of the area. He passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. In 1945 he lied about his age and joined the Navy during WWII at the age of 14. Bally was well liked and respected, didn't put up with anybody's crap and remained funny up to the end. He served for many years on the counsel of the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians. He is survived by his wife Francine, daughters Alice Becerra, Ada Elliott, Lanita Elliott, Darlene Lockart, Melody Marshall, sons Roger Elliott, Orval Elliott Jr., Ernest Elliott Sr., Brent Lockart, brother William Elliott Sr. and numerous grand, great and great great grandchildren, nieces nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses sent to the mortuary are preferred. Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
