Mrs. Berneice Adams, 65, dies; funeral services this afternoon.
Mrs. Berneice Adams, 65, of Alberta Creek died Wednesday at a hospital in Madill.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Saturday) at Watts Memorial Chapel with Richard Jones of Edmond officiating. Music will be arranged by Harold Kimrey, Mrs. Adams was a member of the Church of Christ.
Casket escorts for burial in Woodberry-Forest Cemetery will be Jack Gilbert, E. B. and Teddy St. John, Dale Adams, Richard Doane and Al Sloan.
Mrs. Adams had been in ill health three months. She was born in Carroll County, Va., May 27, 1920. She was reared in Maryland and Virginia and married Jaye Adams Oct. 6, 1945, at Marbury, Md. They made their home in Dallas in 1956 and resided there until their move to the Kingston area in 1975. Mr. Adams preceded her in death March 1981.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons, Dale of Dallas and Allen Lee of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara St. John of Edmond, and seven grandchildren.
She is also survived by her mother Ida Melton, two brothers, Ruel and Perry Melton, and two sisters, Mildred Doane and Madline Simmons, all of Maryland.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
