She was born April 9, 1930 in Monmouth, Ill. the daughter of Edgar Leroy and Eleanor (Jones) Pratt. She married Eugene A. Briggs Sr. on March 25, 1949 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death July 15, 1988.
She is survived by a son, Eugene A. Briggs Jr. of Galesburg; two daughters, Joyce Marie Cox of Galesburg and Mary Louise Moeller of Springfield, Mo.; several grandchildren; several grand and great grandchildren and six great great grandchilden. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Beverly Ann Meeham; four brothers; and four sisters.
Bonnie worked in housekeeping at St. Mary's Hospital for 21 years, Cottage Hospital for four years, and Heartland Health Care Center for thirteen years. She retired in April 8, 2013. She was a member of the Salvation Army.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 10, 2014 at Monmouth Cemetery Monmouth, Ill. Captain Rick Ray and Major Bill Welch will officiate. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm Friday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
