Andrew Franklin Parker Andrew Franklin Parker passed away January 17, 2014, one day before his 41st birthday. Andy was born and raised in Visalia, attended Willow Glen Elementary School, Green Acres Middle School, and graduated from Redwood High School in 1991 with honors. He graduated from Georgetown University in the School of Foreign Service in 1994 with a B.S. Degree in International Economics. While at Georgetown, he was captain of the school's NCAA Division I Tennis Team. Andy received an MBA in finance from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. He worked for A.G. Edwards in Visalia. He was an avid tennis player and became the head coach of Redwood High School's tennis team. He went on to work for Bank of America in the leasing department in San Francisco where he met his future wife, Heather Smith. In 2006, he accepted a position with AIG Sun America as a Regional Vice President External Wholesaler. Andy is survived by his wife, Heather Parker; two lovely daughters, Allison and Ashley; mother, Elizabeth Parker; brother, Paul Parker; sister-in-law, Sabrina Sander; niece, Katherine Parker and nephew, Luke Parker. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Parker. Andy was an outstanding tennis player, but he also enjoyed golf, swimming, water polo, and basketball. He loved to travel and spent time Europe, Ecuador and Chile. Most of all, he loved playing with daughters, Allison and Ashley. Andy had many close friends, some dating back to his elementary school days. Wherever he went, he easily made friends. Everyone who knew him appreciated his kindness to others, his sense of humor, his funny antics, his humility, his intelligence, and his wonderful athletic ability. People enjoyed being with him and he is dearly missed by his family and many friends. The family wishes to thank his friends from Visalia and all over the country for reaching out to us during this difficult time. It is heartwarming to hear from so many.
