Vicinity Deaths.

Mrs. Hannah Tripp

COHOCTON. Oct. 22, — The death and burial last week of Mrs. Hannah Carrington Root Tripp removed a much respected resident, most of whose life nearly 95 years had been passed in Cohocton and immediate vicinity. Mrs. Tripp's death followed a short sickness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Tripp Eberaoto of Avoca, where she had recently been staying, and her funeral services were largely attended in the Cohocton Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon, with burial in Maple View cemetery in this village.

Mrs. Tripp was twice married, her second husband having been Dr. Daniel Tripp of Cohocton, whose death occurred September 12, 1893, aged 85 years old, and several children by her first marriage, Mrs. Phoeba Root Wilcox of Cohocton and Mrs. Belle Root McDowell of Hornell survive her death. She also leaves a large number of other relatives including grand, great grand and great great grandchildren in or near this village.
