He was born in Syracuse. He served in the Army's communications division in Alaska during Korean War. He retired in 1991 after more than 40 years as a millwright at Carrier Corp. He was a member of South Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon.
A son, Charles L., died in 1993.
Survivors: His wife of more than 40 years, the former P. Marie Winesett; a daughter, Patricia Lee Knudsen of Northboro, Mass.; a son, John T. of Webster; five brothers, Carmen U. of Liverpool, and Salvatore, Ignatius, Louis and Paul; two grandchildren.
Services: Services and burial, 2 p.m. Tuesday in North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse . No calling hours.
