Kentucky New Era obit posted 13 Sept 1999 reads as follows:

Adrian Dorl "Monk" Henderson, 76, Highpoint Drive, died at 1:45 this morning, Sept. 13, 1999, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.

Services will be at 10am Wednesday at Lamb Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eastend Cemetery, Cadiz. Visitation will be from 4 until 7pm Tuesday.

A native of Christian County, he was born April 5, 1923, the son of the late William Pinkney and Ora Henderson. He was a self employed restaurant and bar owner and operator and had operated Sue's Steakhouse and Monk's Alibi Club. He was a World War II Army veteran and was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Salvation Army. A son, Robert Edward "Bobby" Henderson, died in 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Henderson; three sons, Roy O. Henderson, Hopkinsville, and Charles A. "Chuck" Henderson, president and general manager of the Kentucky New Era, Hopkinsville, Ronnie D. Henderson, Madisonville' two daughters, Connie J. Merrill, Hopkinsville, Barbara Sue Head, Clarksville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Hospital Auxiliary of Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
