Nadine Horner Tkachyk, 78, of Nampa passed away at home on Friday, Aug. 2, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Cloverdale Memorial Park.

She was born on Feb. 3, 1924, in Long Pine, Neb., to Walter and Hazel Thompson Elliott, the first of three children. Nadine moved with her family from Nebraska to the Caldwell area in June of 1936.

She worked as a waitress at the Harmony Café in Nampa for over 20 years. Nadine was also a cook at the Nampa Chief until she retired.

Nadine enjoyed fishing, knitting, and cooking. She was always trying a new recipe.

She is survived by her daughters Georgia (Roger) Konkol of Boise; Bobbi (LeRoy) Harmon of Nampa; sister Arlene Painter of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho; three grandchildren, Danny Harmon, Tiffany Wilson and Camille Wegner; six great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, Monday Aug. 5, at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel.
