OLD CITIZEN EXPIRES

Frank Walker, eighty two years of age, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday morning at his home three miles northeast of Curtisville with the infirmities of old age. He had been in failing health for several months and death seemed to be a relief.

He was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Walker and was one of a family of five children consisting of brothers and sisters, all of them having died a number of years ago.

In 1848 the father moved to Rush County at which place he succumbed, after which the children scattered to different parts of the state. Frank went to Riley, Ohio where he grew into manhood.

In the year 1856 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Ann Gardner.

In 1868 they moved to Tipton County and in 1892 the wife died leaving a husband and four children, three boys and one girl.

The children surviving are Francis Z. Walker, Kempton; William and Douglas Walker and Mrs. David Frazee, residing near the home place.

In the year 1893 he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Amanda Goodwin, widow of Obid Goodwin. There were no children born to this union.

Mr. Walker was a splendid citizen and his ambition through life was always to do good, his friends were numbered by the score and his death will be greatly deplored. He was a devout member of the Baptist Church, always taking much interest in church affairs.

No funeral arrangements have been made, but will probably be held Thursday and conducted by the Revs. Mary V. Couch of the Curtisville vicinity and Omer McCoy of Phlox. Burial at Elwood.
