John Schwan married Alma Kiel, 2 March 1902, and they had 2 sons, Louis Bernhard Arthur Schwan born 10 April 1904 and Bernhard Christian Schwan born 22 October 1905. The sons births and Baptisms were recorded in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cullman, Cullman, Alabama. Alma left her husband, John Schwan, with their 2 sons, from Cullman, Alabama, and was never seen or heard from again. If any one knows any information about Alma, Louis, and Bernhard, please contact me. Thank you.

To all Schwan Family researchers, I have found Uncle John Schwan's ex-wife, "Alma Kiel Schwan" and their 2 sons. All 3 lived out their lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. Alma went on and married twice more to-Charles Woods, and George H. Remme, and she gave her sons a "new" last name, which is carried on to their descendants today.
