John, age 74, of Folsom, passed away on January 23, 2014 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Folsom, he was a lifelong resident there. John loved to roam the woods looking for deer. He also loved spending time in his West Virginia home hunting, especially with his son and grandsons. John also enjoyed gardening and growing all sorts of things.
John was a mechanic for local modified race cars and also on Nascar modifieds. He often traveled to different race tracks working on these cars. He was member of the Operating Engineers Local 825 while working for Statewide Hi-Way Safety for many years.
John belonged to the Folsom Hunting and Fishing Club, and the Hit and Miss Gun Club, winning the Big Buck 4 Pointer Contest in 2003.
John was predeceased by his parents, George and Evelyn Blazer; his sister, Dolores; his first wife, Darlien Super; and his granddaughter, Gabrielle Campione.
John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda (Wescoat) Blazer; his son, John Blazer, Jr. (Loretta) of Folsom; his stepchildren, Tammy Rodio (Hank), Marty Schellhas (Jennifer), Dawn Campione (Allen), all of Hammonton; his grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, Justin and Sean Blazer and Laurie, Michelle (Derek Pizzo), Kaitlin, Amy and Lindsey Rodio, Melonie Schellhas, Christina Cowick, and Allen Campione, Jr.
A viewing was held on Jan. 27th from 7-9 pm; and again on Jan. 28th at 10 am. Burial followed in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: The Jefferson Foundation, 125 S. 9th St., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19107.

John also was owner-operator of his tractor-trailer, hauling sand and gravel.
