Annie M. Gaul

Annie M. Gaul, 91, formerly of Wernersville, died Friday at 2:45 p.m. in Independence Terrace, Womelsdorf, where she had resided since Feb. 1, 1988.

Her husband, Walter R. Gaul, died June 12, 1975.

Born in Heidelberg Township, she was a daughter of the late Adam O. and Eva A. (Staudt) Kintzer.

She was employed as a cafeteria worker by the Wilson School District until her retirement.

A member of St. John's (Hain's) United Church of Christ, Wernersville, she had a concert series named after her, the "Annie M. Gaul Concert Series," in 1987 because of her involvement in the music program in the church for more than 50 years.

Surviving are a sister, Ellen, widow of Edwin C. Sheidy, a guest at Phoebe-Berks Health Center, Wernersville, and two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, William H. Gaul.

Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, is in charge of arrangements.
